Russian Consulate closure in Seattle is imminent in light of growing pressure from London. Sixty Russian diplomats are also expelled from the USA. The U.S. government gives 7 days to the expelled Russians to leave the country.

Meanwhile, the Canadian government makes its move in solidarity with Britain by expelling four Russian diplomats as well. Canada will also deny permission for three others to bolster Russian staff in Canada. The diplomats to be expelled are from the embassy in Ottawa and the consulate general in Montreal.
